Introduction to Islamabad International University
Education is the most important priority of any country because education teaches humanity and thus the society develops. Various universities in Pakistan are quenching the thirst of the seekers of knowledge, but despite this, a large number of the society is not able to acquire knowledge. It was a long-standing dream of Jamia Islamabad Trust that Pakistan has such a high position in the field of education. Get students from abroad to go to Pakistan for learning and Pakistan has a prominent position in the field of education in the world.
Jamia Islamabad Trust is establishing “Islamabad International University” at Rawat Kemqam in the suburbs of Islamabad/Rawalpindi to fulfill this dream. Area, Tehsil Kotli is located at the confluence of Sattian, Kahota, Gujjar Khan and Kalrasidaan and there is no university in these 4 Tehsils. For this project, a 46 kanal area was purchased near Burlab Street, Rawat, Islamabad, at a distance of two kilometers from GT Road, Rawat Islamabad, further expansion is in progress. This university is a beautiful combination of modern education and religious education.
According to the proposed map of the university, the six academic blocks of the university will have rooms and seats equipped with modern facilities for the study of 10,000 students simultaneously. Besides, there are hostels with modern facilities for the thousands of students living there. The university will also have a central library with modern research resources where, God willing, millions of books on various sciences and arts will be available in different languages. Along with the library, there is also a beautiful mosque. There is also a beautiful editorial hall in the center of the university. It is part of the project where academic and research seminars and conferences of national and international level will be held.
The university also has an IT department in which computer labs and online teaching and learning are used in addition to modern means of communication. Moreover, in the context of the current situation, online and distance education system will be organized, thanks to which students from the country and abroad will be able to benefit.
One of the main goals of this university is to produce scholars and researchers who will present solutions to the challenges, contemporary and universal problems facing Islam in the light of Quran and Sunnah. The specialty of the university will be that MS and PhD in Sufism will be conducted in Sufism, which is a unique initiative of “Islamabad International University”. For acquiring knowledge, God willing, Muslim scholars will come from different countries, Central Asia, Arabia and Europe. Corruption, murder and riots and terrorism will also be eradicated.
